So who am I anyway?

Well, I am the "in demand" coach when it comes to true functional strength training. I have lectured at national conferences, Division I college strength and conditioning programs and some of the top fitness facilities in the Nation. Along with many of my articles being published in Nationwide publications, my innovative training methods are extremely popular and I'm admired by my ability to overcome challenges and succeed where many fail.

As a graduate of Arizona State University, I received my Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science/Physical Education. I continually place a great value on education and have been through dozens of programs and spend literally thousands of hours studying exercise science and functional anatomy.

My background is what really gives me an unique insight into training. If there is a system of training I probably have used it, if there is an expert, I have probably spent time listening to their ideas. I know what works and this is much more than most trainers that spend time in a weekend course, my personal experience is what makes this sandbag system so unique.

After two years of playing Basketball for ASU, I reaggravatted an old back injury that forced me into early retirement. Furthermore, enduring a devastating ankle injury that threatened my ability to walk normally, several slipped disks, and major back pain caused me to loose the use of my right leg for quite sine time.

This sent me on a mission to learn all I could about fitness and led me to develop a system that could improve my health and allow me to return to my love of athletics once again. I experimented with dozens of different methods, techniques and programs and have spent thousands of dollars trying to achieve what doctors considered next-to impossible, and now I am sharing that information with you.

What happened to change things?

After trying literally hundreds of hours of physical therapy and the most "cutting-edge" fitness techniques, I came across the book, Dinosaur Training, which introduced me to the ancient concept of implementing odd objects into your strength program. This method was very different from the conventional body building style that we all know too well.

What first seemed to be primitive, was actually the most honest information on getting stronger and more functional. Despite the incredible pain sensation I was still fighting I began implementing some of the simple concepts. Initially after slowly seeing some improvements, I found that changes began happening much faster.  In fact, I discovered this stuff worked so well that I made a comeback by competing in my first Strongman Competition!

After being told by doctors I would be lucky to walk normally or live with minimal pain, I was now able to carry 500 pounds, flip 900lb tires and lift 350lb stones!

Everyone makes promises, but few coaches actually follow through with their word.  I am willing to take it one step further and put my reputation on the line with Sandbag Fitness Systems.

After my comeback I was now ready to take his incredible experience and use it to help others achieve their dreams.

Great, how do I make my own Sandbag?

I can personally tell you after years of making my own homemade Sandbags, unless you train at the beach you better enjoy cleaning up sand! I have spent countless hours cleaning up sand off the floor or trying to tape up a broken sandbag.

Having dozens of bags break and leak sand all over the gym was my inspiration to create one that could hold up to the use and abuse of his training sessions. I needed a bag that could be kicked, thrown, and beat up day after day.

So you are welcome to make your own as sandbags in any form are an awesome addition to your program, but keep a few things in mind:
